Proud Moment

So after a CRAP day yesterday we headed to the mission and it was awesome!!! We have actually picked up working at the mission another week during the month. We are getting to know the people there and having a really good time.

Last night we did the Wordless book... So Abbie presented the gospel explaining the Wordless Book.. And the cool thing is she was soooooooooo excited.. She had been practicing...and it was cool!!! So we went and she had a blast!! And I must say it was very cool to be a part of being there for her time sharing about Jesus and the importance of know Him! It was one of the top 5!!!!

Rough Day

Man, I had a rough day yesterday... I have for almost as long as I remember have an issue with CHURCH... all the politics and crap like that.. it is hard for me and I struggle with it. I attended a Bible Study when I lived in A-Town. that I loved and sometimes I think it was one of those ONCE IN A LIFETIME kinda things. It was truly come as you are.. say what you are... and just say it how you do... (I think I have mentioned this study before) And as I attend others I realize more and more how it was one of those seasons of blessings. I don't talk a whole lot to those girls often anymore.. but I still get a facebook message, text or a little card in the mail just dropping by a thought. So as I have started to get more involved with our new church in Eugene.. you realize there is not a church that is perfect... cause it is full of sinners.. and I AM INCLUDED IN THAT!!! But it is hard!!! Just when you talk about in my opinion what is 'normal" things.. BASIC things... it gets TAKEN WAYYYYYYYYYYYY the wrong way and once again I feel totally discouraged like I have to walk on egg shells cause you don't want to offend anyone... or as I am helping out the line at Kid Life at church the mom says.. "I NEED TO GO TO MY BIBLE STUDY... WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS A WAIT LIST!" and you think.. MAN.. seriously.. I am praying for you trying to encourage you..... or I am hear serving and watching your kid so you can go to your stupid bible study! Maybe a little grace???

So I actually have struggled with this is a BIG way in the last 24 HOURS.... and I called my Dad this morning to kinda talk it out. And it once set me back on track... although I am still teary...

So if I have this guy doing all my paperwork for my kids program at church and he is way SLOW..... should it matter... in the perspective of it.. NO... it's ALL about HIM.. and NOT about me.. it's dumb paperwork... If I have ladies screaming at me cause THEY NEED TO GO TO WORSHIP AND THERE IS NO ROOM FOR THERE KID" is it about me.. NOPE...It was just a good word.. on man... it's just life...and it was just refreshing to hear that.. even though that I knew that.. sometimes some stories and encouragement from good ol' dad is just what the therapist ordered!!!

It's a struggle though for sure... I just felt totally defeated!!! But thankful that JESUS has OVERCOME... thus SO WILL I!

MAN.. it's been a while since I blogged.. and I know you guys are just dying with suspense at the edge of your seats!!!!

So let's see what has been going on... EVERYTHING and EVERYTHING!!!!

We were invited to a go hang out with some friends at the coast this past weekend. And we had a blast!!! we went to the Aquarium and of course hit the OUTLETS... HEY!!!!! and then just pretty much hung out!!! It was nice to just hang out with the fam! And a nice little get away.

Caiden is still doing about the same in his class.. BUT the great news is that we they are hiring a new Teacher for the kindergarten classes so each class will now be down to 13-15 kids per class instead of 32-34 kids!!! Which I am pretty thankful!!!!

Jon got a promotion at work. So he is doing the Marketing for his work now. Which has been AWESOME!!!! In short that means.. NO 24-7 phone calls!!!!! It is awesome!!! It has been like 10 years of 24-7 phone calls. So we are now moving to 'community events" which I LOVE LOVE!!!! This weekend we are headed to Albany for a Breast Cancer walk. And Next weekend we have a Alzheimer's Walk. Which is VERY near and dear to my heart, I lost my Grandma to Alzheimer's. So we will be walking in her honor.
So as a family we are looking forward to doing these things together.

Do you know that song... Make New Friends.... Make New Friends. Keep some old ones make some new.... Well that song has been going through my head lately.. with some friends of mine.. but also with Abbie. As we are settling down and she is getting older.. It has become apparent that making friends for her needs to become more of a priority for me. So this Friday we have a DOUBLE sleep over. To get the party started!!! I am looking forward to it. And I am extra excited because the mom's are giving me a "home visit" which actually makes me feel ALOT better about the kids coming over. It always AMAZES me that parents just let their kids go over to someones house that they have never met!!! Anyways... we shall see.. But I am LOVING the community here in EUGENE... and I know that we are gypsy and move all over creation.. BUT.. I will say.. EUGENE is growing on me... pretty thick!!!

OH the Places WE will go...

Well week two of the new school is year is almost complete!! Can I just say.. this week has totally SUCKED!!! IT has been a rough one.. MAN!! really rough.. Caid is having a super hard tome adjusting to school and trying to figure it out and make it "ok" But it's been rough. Zeke was sick on Tuesday projectile vomiting in the van on the way to school... and that is ALWAYS FUN!!!!!! It wasn't like any MAJOR things that happen this week..Just dealing with Caid and Zeke being sick and just day to day things that you think on a hourly basis... "REALLY???!!!!"

But on to the next day. I am looking forward to just a start over button for next week! On the other hand, today was the first day I had ALL my kids in school at the same time. Every Thursday I will have no kids from 9 - noon!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! It was fun. I hung out with my friend for the morning, and had a nice time out!!! We went to the Itty Bitty Boutique.. and that was AWESOME!!! Next week I will start working in Caid's class on Thursday's so I must say I ENJOYED my THERAPY THURSDAY!!!!

NO nothing MAJOR and EXCITING.. just our FUN LIFE!!!! :0)

The Kids are OFF and RUNNING!!!

Well day three was a success.. I must tell you, that I was not prepared for the effect that having Caiden in school was going to have on me...But I am slowly adjusting to it. SLOWLY!!! It is so weird having just two kids around.. I mean really what do people do with ONLY 2 kids!!!! haha!!! Anyways. It is good though. Having time with the babies one on one.. which hasn't really ever happened. Has been a good time. This week all in all has been kinda weird. As in weird means. Lots of down time!! And I had decided to keep it that way this week since next week ALLLL the craziness begins for me.. So in a way this week was my last week of summer and I am doing a whole lot of NOTHING!!! Like really A LOT OF NOTHING!!!!!!! And I think it is weird but in the same breathe it has been a nice break!

Today I took Zeke and Lola to their Pre-school Open House and meet the new and old teachers. It was great!!! Good to see the old moms and nice to meet some new moms.

Caid is doing great in school. Having a blast!!! Lola and Zeke are in pre school at the same time on Thursday which frees me up to help in Caid and Abbie's school while they are in school. So I will be starting that in a couple weeks. I chatted with Caidens teacher today and she was all excited which made me excited!!!!!

So anyways.. that a little about our week this week!!!!

Well, TODAY WAS THE DAY!!! Caid's first day of Kindergarten..and of course I cried like a freakin BABY!!! It was so SAD!!! FOR ME AT LEAST!!! He woke up ready to GO!!!! and was SOOO excited.. BUT I am really sad.... But it's good!!! Abbie was just like I am out of here!!! Thanks for coming.. but really you didn't have too!!!! LOL!!! Anyways.... Here are some pics we took this morning.

Can EVERYONE say... WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and TEAR!!! TEAR!!!! I am super excited for this weekend, As I am usually every summer... NOT BECAUSE IT IS THE LAST WEEKEND before summer OFFICIALLY ends!!!!! This is our annual weekend visit from Jon's Grandparents. G'ma and G'pa Traxler!!!! We have such a great time with them and they are great to have around for a couple of days. We only see them once a year.....usually.. So it is so nice to catch up with them. They are just great people and have really cared for our family over the years!!! We are very thankful for them!!

The Traxlers come in TODAY!!! (YAY!!) and leave early Sunday as they finish their trip over at a Casino near by for Labor Day Weekend. Then my Mom and Dad are coming over Sunday Morning and staying till Tuesday.. Which I am also SUPER excited for. It has been a while since I have seen them.. well my Mom...I went camping with my Dad but I think that was like a month ago or something. So it will be nice to have them around for a couple of days. AND to be here when I get back from taking my CAIDEN to his FIRST day of Kinder!!!!! (INSERT SOBBING.....)

We went yesterday to Open House at the school. His teacher seemed great...But really have you ever meet a Kindergarten Teacher that wasn't!!!!! They all seem so perfect!!!! In their little caring ways... LOVE IT!!! The class sizes are BIG!!! which I was a little shocked over...BUT they have 2 teachers per class.... So I am hoping that weighs it out a bit. They had a bus out in front. You could take a tour of it if you wanted to, Caid was SOOOOO excited.... as he will be riding the bus with Abbie this year to school!!!. The school really is like down the street... And I asked Caid if he wanted me to take him instead, cause he didn't have to ride the bus. and with a STRONG NO!!!! He answered and that was that!!! (INSERT SOBBING).. ...

First Day of schools for some reason is so hard for me.. I totally don't get it. It is not like I am like anxious or really upset that they are leaving.. Maybe I am just sentimental, because once they start Kindergarten it goes SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fast!!!!! As I was crying in front of the principle and office staff talking about dropping Caiden off and they were all laughing at me.. I said... "It should really get easier... I mean I have 4...what's one more" and the front Lady goes.. "Oh no.. it just gets much worse!!!!" THANKS ALOT!!!!!!

Anyways.. enough of my sob stories..
