Tonight coming home the song "In Christ Alone" came on the radio... 1st thought was.. HELLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Bible College.. FLASH BACK!!! Here is some of the VBS Program from last night!!! My kids are growin up!!

Not sure if I have mentioned it or not! BUT I FREAKIN LOVE SUMMER TIME!!!!!
I do I do!!!

So this summer I have become a VBS junkie! I have my kids enrolled in 6 weeks of VBS Thus far and found 1 more last night!!! THEY LOVE VBS!!! And the great thing and that they are all different! So today ends their first week and they had a blast! We went to their little show last night and watched what they had learned. It was fun! I also had a 'moment" where I was like CRAP Caid is getting big.. He is singing the songs, doing the motions, is he getting older??? Then looking at zeke.. and thinking these kids are going to grow up boom boom boom!!! I don't have babies anymore!!! (which I AM TOTALLY) ok with just was one of those moments!!

But they all did great!


So this morning I woke up with my DANG allergies! STUPID ALLERGIES!! SO I tried to stay in bed for a little and as the tissue started invading me I decided to get up. And I actually caught the sunset! It was SOOO nice!!! FINALLY!!! It felt like summer had really started to kick in and we weren't living in the month of "April"!!! But it was warm enough to sit on the porch at 5am and watch the sunset!!! Loving it!!!! totally loving it!

So I was also pleasantly surprised last night when I realized it was THURSDAY NIGHT! Not Wednesday!!!! I was stoked!!!!! YAY FOR FRIDAY!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Quit Smoking???

Ok did I hook you... SOOOOOOOOOOO I am not have not been a smoker but Zeke is reminding me of a guy I once knew who was working on quitting smoking. Wednesday Night we couldn't find a Binky for Zeke so we said.. HEY PERFECT TIMING!!! He is now OFFICIALLY potty trained and TOTALLY POTTY TRAINED. YAY!!!! So we are not even using pull ups anymore.. and I am LOVING that the diapers are disappearing at a slow rate!!! FINALLY after 4 1/2 years!!!! I only have ONE kid in diapers. It's awesome (Ok back to my story) So we figured that since he is potty trained and he is 2 1/2 (normally my kids don't go past 2 anyways with their binks but Lola has a bink so I kinda budged on that and let it go.) he doesn't need his bink anymore. Zeke has been a binky baby to the core!!! he has rocked those binkys over the years! So we took it away and he did awesome. He didn't get up, didn't cry out or anything. THEN HE WOKE UP!!!!!!!! and I swear he was like a druggie or a smoker... saying... 'BINKY BINKY BINKY" ALL DAY yesterday. So I called my mom to get some re-enforcement to make sure it was okay NOT to give it back and keep it up. So all day yesterday I think he was going through his "withdrawl" time. He was SOOOOOOOOOOO moody.. and sooooooooooooo grumpy he just wanted his bink... So we got through the day. He didn't even ask for it when he went to bed last night.. SO DID WE ACTUALLY GET RID OF THE BINK??? hmmm time will tell I guess. But I think we are on our way.

In other news. My friend LeeAnne came over yesterday with her two kids. I don't think we saw our kids the whole time. (well chill out.. we did... we are responsible adults right!!!) But they get along really well and they played great. And it was good to have her over! We had a great time! I am totally loving summer time!!! BUT I have always enjoyed summer time.. Got good summer food, summer drinks :), and summer company. We have A LOT of company and family company this year coming and I AM SOOOOOOOOOO excited to see them.

31!!!

Yesterday I turned 31!!!!!!!!!!! and LOVIN IT!!! 31 is the new 30!!! I really had one of those days that didn't do anything MAJOR.. BUT all in all it was a FABULOUS day with my fam! A couple of months ago I had this NEWS FLASH that I had 4 kids!!!! I know a little slow I guess!!! But honestly I was still kinda living my life and social life like I had 1 kid just abbie and that she was 7. And that my main job and duty right now is to be a mom to 4 kids!!! I had way to many obligations outside of the house with boards and committees that is just got to be WAY to much!!! SO I pretty much cut everything out to concentrate on what God has obviously called me to be and do which is being a mom to 4 and taking care of my husband. So this Bday I planned to have a party with some friends and decided I just wanted to have a home party with my fam and stay close! (Which actually is what I have been doing a lot lately,and am totally ok with and needed) So the kids had VBS this whole week so 3 of the 4 of them went! which that in itself is weird just having Lola home for 3 hours is weird. (And I actually cried when I left Zeke there!!!)
Abbie had a playdate this afternoon and went to the water park. So caid wanted to make me a bday cake while the other 2 slept! AND HE DID!!! HE made the BEST cake ever!!! and ALL by himself!!! IT TRUELY WAS MY BEST CAKE I EVER GOT!!!



Had some dinner opened my fabulous present from the kiddies and headed out the the freezing pool with Abbie and made a whirlpool for us to float down the "amazon river" So it was anything MAJOR.. but it was FABULOUS to be 31 with such an awesome fam!!! :)

So 31 is off to a great start! :) I had tons of birthday emails, cards, and calls yesterday and it was good to hear from each one of them. My sister in law mentioned to me that I was a "Friend Gypsy" where I have friends all over and here and there. And I think she was right!!! It is true, my friends are scattered from here and there and I honestly don't talk to them much but the cool thing is I might just show up on their doorstep someday and it would be back to 1999!!! (Or whatever year it was) I am just kinda flighty!!!! I am okay with that and I am blessed that my friends are okay and have been okay with that for years!!! Two of my very close friends I was in Amsterdam and India with. Have always joked ... "Kelsey is just going to be this hippy with a backpack that stops over for a couple hours out of the blue just traveling away while we are at home raising babies" HA! Well the joke was on ME when they were in my wedding and I was the FIRST of us to get married!!! AND HAVE BABIES!!!!!!!!!!! But am blessed that they take me for who I am!!! :) Also I think moving around alot has made it "easy" for me to "move on" to what ever adventure was next. But I do miss those girls!! and I miss all of them!! But it is always awesome to know they got my back!!!! and of course I got theirs! :)

Anyways. I rabbit trailed A LOT this blog.. might have to do with it being 2am!!! A couple more updates!!
TONIGHT was also the first night Zeke went to bed without a BINKY!!!!!!!!!!! and it was FINE!! HE ROCKED IT!!!! So we shall see if this stays!!!

Well let's see how was year 30!!! Putting it gently... SUCKED!!!! Well not totally... but for the most part yes!!! I am EXCITED for 31!!!!!!!!!! Although I know it still comes with it's set of challenges I am ready to move forward!!! I will say 30 was a HUGE growing pains year for me. But one that I think came with good outcomes. Had a lot of change this year.. But I also thrive on change. So here is to 2010!!! and 31!!!! woot woot!!!

Happy Father's Day

Today is Father's Day and I am totally blessed to have an awesome dad who has been a HUGE example to me growing up and now. He has always been a great cheerleader and let me learn my mistakes and victories on my own. With a little wink wink here and there with those mistakes!!! :)

And making it two in a row. I am thankful for Jon. I knew the day I met him he was "THE ONE" and I have enjoyed everyday of my life so far with him! (Notice I said SO FAR......LOL) But I am blessed he works so hard for our family to make ends meet and to make sure we are always taken care of no matter what needs to be done! He is truly the sugar to my tea, and the I to my I-pod!!! This year especially has been one of change, challenge and growth for us. And it was such a gift through that hard time to have us come out closer and stronger together! He has been my one and only BFF!!! and I love him dearly!!! Lots of love babe!! XOXOXOX

It's Official!!!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!! Zeker's is potty trained!!!!! YAY ZEKE!!!! He is very excited and very proud of himself. He started making it through the night dry and also nap time too. And having him wear a pull up at night has been a battle cause he wants to wear his big kid underwear. But I am going to go with he is fully potty trained for his days for sure..

I TOTALLY forgot this weekend was father's day. My mom texted me and said we are celebrating Father's Day along with my nephews bday party. And I texted her back.. are we celebrating Christmas too....!!! NOT realizing that Father's day is Sunday!!! Again like I have said before I guess it is hard to remember that we are actually IN June cause this dang weather!!!!!! again.... .let me say.. WHAT THE HECK IS THE DEAL!!! Ok.. and moving on!!!

In other news. Abbie enlighted me that her song lyrics to "Hot and Cold" do not go like...(As her Wii Karaoke games states) "You change your mind like a girl changes clothes and your a "WITCH" I use to know" That the real word they use is "Bitch" and while shopping in Costco she enlighted me with this. Then asked what is the difference between Bitch and Witch! So I am sure I sound like a GREAT mom walking through Costco explaining the difference between those two words! :)

I GOT MYSELF A BLENDER!!!! YAY ME!!! I have been in NEED and may I please express NEED of a blender for MONTHS!!!! So I will now be able to make my "crap-a-chinos (as jon calls them) from home saving him $1000's on my starbucks bill! So we shall see!!!
ALSO our Dishwasher broke and we got a new one yesterday!!!!! IT WAS A HAPPY DAY FOR ME!!!

SO my lack of sleep is really starting to get me!!! Allergies are killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!!!

Well it seemed like it took forever!!!! to get here this year!! I think it must because it still feels like APRIL with this freakin weather!!!!!! and it's still raining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyways. I was feeling very sentimental today for some reason, I think that it is because this year has been such a challenge and a struggle. But things are getting back to "normal" a bit. we still have a ways to go But it has made our family stronger and much more of a "unit" which I am very thankful for.

So today I picked up abbie at school at noon and we meet Jon for lunch and then headed out the movies! We went to the cheap movies. It cost $1.50 so it cost us like $7.50 for all of us to go! It was the first time I had attempted this and of course it failed. Lola is still on the little side. But we made it an hour and 15 minutes!!!

Are you smarter than a 3rd grader!

Well tomorrow I will officially have a 3rd GRADER!!!! Where the bleep does the time go!!!!! seriously!!! It is insane!! She is so excited to move to 3rd grade!!! This year was A YEAR!! We pulled her out and homeschooled for a bit. Put her back in... and ended up HERE!! Well thankfully we made it HAPPY AND HEALTHY!!! and of course with another year of DIVA to chalk up! SO I am very proud of Ab. She has had her ups and downs this year, it has been awesome to have her on our team. Especially when things this year got rough, she is a cheerleader for sure! :)

Weekend Camp Out

This weekend my sister in law Judy and her fam came and stayed the weekend for our Bday Celebrations! Judy,Brad and my birthday's are in June.. So we had a get together. They came over Saturday and hung out till last night! The kids had a BLAST! rarely saw them, except to eat! And we played Texas Hold Em. to prepare Judy for her vegas trip coming up! We had a great time! And next weekend we head up to my brothers house for more bday celebrations! My Nephew is turning 3!!! WOOT WOOT! fun times! So anyways. We have been busy for sure!! and doesn't look like it will be slowing down anytime soon! But I am okay with that! We are having a BLAST! Abbie has 1 1/2 days left of school. Today is a field trip to some hippy conservation place and tomorrow she just has a half day! So she is very excited!! But it is hard getting into summer mode when it is still freakin raining!!!! what is up with this weather!!!! Anyhow! I hope you are all gearing up for a FABULOUS summer!!! ENJOY!!!! Potty Training

Well I tried an outing today to the mall with the kids.. and left Zeke in his big boy underwear.. He told me twice he had to go to the bathroom while we were there and did. And had no accidents. He has been in underwear since Monday and we have had one accident. I think that is doing pretty good! :) BUT.. I would not say he is "potty trained" yet. But I think we are on our way!!! YAY!!!! I am the WORST at potty training and I think God knows that cause my kids just seem to have a switch and when they are ready they do it! So anyways... I know this is what everyone is thrilled to read about!! But I am stoked that I can ALMOST say I have ONE KID left in DIAPERS!!!!!!!! FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUSY BUSY BUSY

SO.. today was Caid's first field trip and the crazy thing is.. it was at his ULTIMATE FAV place! It was a Papa's Pizza!! He had a blast! Although some of the pics look otherwise! :)





Caid also had a little "moving up" day in his class today. He was very proud of his little certificate! :)



Aunt Sue's last night is tonight.. :( and she has bought the kids ice cream every night.. so tonight was the last night.. THEY are going to have withdrawls when she leaves!!! So here is Zeke and Lola enjoying their ice cream night! :)



Lastly in our day today.. Abbie, Caid, Zeke and I settled down with some nice "shrek" facials! :)



So today was rather busy!!! But getting VERY excited for SUMMER!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!! Got lots planned and VERY excited!!!

Weed and Potty Training!!!!

Ok.. So I am going to pay for today! Tomorrow!!!! So dropped Abbie off at school at 8! Got home at 8:30! Cause we live in EGYPT from her school!!! Went right outside and stared on the yard work!! Worked straight through till 11am went inside prepared lunch for everyone. Put the smaller two down for their naps and around 11:30 Caid and I headed out for round 2!!! So we ventured back out to finish weeded...(honestly you don't realize how big the "yard" is until you are out there for like FOREVER!!) So at 2:15 caid and I finished.. seriously that kid can work!!! He rocked. So my aunt is here visiting so I went and picked abbie up from school. Came back and the babies were up. So everyone got their bathing suits on and set up the hose on the trampoline and got out the ghetto slip and slide and the older two at least had a blast!! I finished the lawn and then had a little sit down with Lolie as we watched the other play! She got sprayed with some of the hose on accident and you thought some one had just beaten her!!!! Seriously that girl is HIGH MAINTANCE!!! :) anyhow!! SO got like 1/4 of the weeding done!! Seriously.. won't be able to do that tomorrow.. not sure If I will be able to get out of bed. I can hardly lift my arm!!!

On the other hand. I guess Zeke has decided to start potty training.. Ok so here is the deal! I don't potty train! I hate it.. So I just wait when the kid makes up their mind. I mean seriously I can't do the timer.. cause I am to much of an airhead to remember, So was his first day in Big Boy pants with no accidents.. He went through most of the day with his junk hangin out but whatev! BUT I am also not getting my hopes up.. We shall see where this goes!! :) Don't get me wrong I welcome it FOR SURE!!!

Anyways. peeps... Looks like tomorrow will be a shopping day.. looking for some curtains for my room and the living room.. We are having a hard time finding the right color and design! So YAY for shopping day!! :)

Mile Markers

So today.. was a milestone in Caid's life!! He got his first BIG BOY BIKE!!! Which he had been looking for.... for a LONG time!! He was very excited!! We got some training wheels on the beast and he was off!!! He was so proud of himself!!! And I was too.. and a little teary eyed at that!!! :) #2 is off to "high heights"!! So consequently that moves Zeke to Caid's old trike! That has been passed down from Abbie! But Zeke was also stoked to have moved up as well!! :) SO here are some pics of my two boys!!!!!! :)




Abbie got a basketball hoop she had been wanting for a while.. so we picked one up at good ol' St. Vinny's for .98 cents!! :) YAY US! :) She has been enjoying playing basketball at school.




We dedicated this weekend to family weekend. Jon is getting ready to head up to San Fran for a week for buisness. He leaves this afternoon at 4pm. So we are getting him ready and then we are headed to Corvallis for a FABULOUS Bday party!!! :) Then picking up my Aunt Sue and she is going to come down for another week! YAY ME!!!!

As the World Turns!

Well this week has been annoying! Lots of stuff going on! Just sometimes don't get things and why they have to be! BUT!!!! here's my big BUTT!!! God is bigger!!! Anyways... the world still turns!! :)


My friend Courtney lost her baby in February and today would have been his 3rd Birthday! Much love and prayers sent her way today!!!!

So this last week my Aunt Sue was here visiting and we had a BLAST!!! It was really alot of fun and the kids loved having her here too.. SO while she was hear she gave me a new hobby!!! (I know sounds weird huh!) although I am not crafty in the first place I had a lot of fun doing this. We went to St. Vinnie's and bought some things and did some serious HGTV stuff to it! It was fun! So most of the stuff we did was in the "big kid living room" And I think we did a pretty good job. But as my Aunt Sue says.. it doesn't really matter what other people think it's my house!!! (hmmm do we think alike or what!) Anyways. here are some pics!
