Camping Out!

So we have ALMOST everything over at the new house.. My sister and brother in law came over today and helped us pretty much take everything over. So we are literally camping out. All our beds are gone. Fridge is gone over... couches.. BUT we did keep the TV and the Wii!! :) hehehe.. gotta keep the netflix going. Anyways... So this is it.. our finally days in A-town. I must say that it has been quite the experience.. and I think I was just about getting over my "culture" shock from moving here from Cali. But it has been good. I have made a lot of new friends. I have been blessed by my bible study peeps... in many ways! We have definetly had our ups and downs for sure. I am looking forward to this next "phase" of life.

BAD ENGLISH

OKay.. so to say we have been busy would be an understatement.. we are cramming.. just like back in the college days!!! Anyways... so the other day we were coming back from making a trip to the new house and listening to my new favorite radio station that plays 90's music all day long!!! :) hehehehe... little small background is I have MEMORIES up the wazu.. of 90's music growing up cause I had the "coolest" big sister growing up who knew every cool person and song on the radio... I wanted to be her when I grew up! Anyways.. one of the songs i listened to OVER and OVER was this song from the band Bad English. So it came on and Lolie was rockin out to it.. but every time i turned the camera to her she stopped rockin.. so here is a little bit of her show. :) but it made the memories flow all over again!!! :)

I am living in the shadow...

Has anyone seen the movie.. "Music and Lyrics" with Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant. Anyways.. they are writing this song and the start of it goes.. "I am living in the shawdow's over my head" And today that song came to my mind when I was talking to Caid.

Caid was having a hard day, he actually has been having a hard week or couple of weeks. Just with his attitude, crying at the drop of that hat.. not listening to directions and just flat out disobeying.. So I know this comes with age but for Caid it kinda came a shock to me. I had a babysitter come over today so I could go run some errands.. cause had like 1500 errand and it would have taken me 1500 hrs to get it all done if I took them with me!! SO I get home and the babysitter said that basicly Caid had an attitude breakdown.. so that kinda made me mad.. So i took him in my room to have a little sit down to find out what was going on, He just started to cry and say.. Mommy.. I don't have any friends that like to play with me" Everyone wants to play with Abbie and play Abbie's games but not mine, cause Abbie is bigger"

So this kinda started to get me thinking..

I have had numerous people ask.. "what is it like to have 4 kids" like I have changed the course of history or something.. .well here's the thing.. 4 kids is a challenge all in it's own.. just as I think sometimes having two is.. One things that I think is MY biggest challenge with the kids is to make sure they are making it on their own!! and not the shawdow of someone else. This I think is a big task! We prayed when he got done talking to me.. And just talking it out with him was something that I think he just needed..

Anyways.. just something to share..

OFFICIAL BUISNESS and A LITTLE BIT OF UN-FINSHED...

oK.. so it is OFFICIAL.. Our moving weekend is April 30th! That is in 2 weeks.. So we are a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll! :) So our house is a little different.. but we like it.. it is half pink and half blue.. so it goes right a long with our fam! :) But hey that is Eugene right!! Anyways.. we share some property with some peeps so it is pretty private which will be nice! :) But big enough and safe enough for the kiddies to roam wild. So we shall see. It is 5 miles for Santa Clara and 7 miles from Junction City. Which means Abbie will be in the Junction City School district but we will have a Eugene phone number, we are right in the middle. The start of our new journey! Anyways. It has been fun in A-town! But TOTALLY see how God is moving into this next phase of life! :) So anyways. My parents are leaving for Cali for a month so we went up to visit them this morning and had lunch at their house it was fun. I thought it was pretty cute of these two. They are getting big so fast. Lola is getting out of the "baby" phase.. which is a GREAT FEELING... I am done the Baby phase...oh for like FOREVER!

Anyhow. I also meant to post this pic of Abbie, Only an outfit that an AUNTIE would send. Charity sent this to Abbie for her "easter outfit" She totally knows abbies style! She loved it!




She too is getting BIG! The other day my mom was talking about my nephew and how old he is.. and I said. NO he is not that old!! and my mom said, Abbie is going to be 8 this summer!!!! JEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where does the time go!

I BECAME A PAMPERED CHEF CONSULTANT!!!

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I think the lady who threw my party was convinced I was....??!!! What is up with that!

Seriously... so I had my FIRST and ONLY pampered chef party. I have never had any of these parties before cause I am really not that kind of party gal! Anyways.. The whole night this lady was like "OH Kelsey is going to become a consultant so should you!!!" and as most all the women there LAUGHED when she said that... so did I!! I AM NOT BECOMING A PAMPERED CHEF CONSULTANT... no worries if you do.. but totally not my cup of tea..
Anyways.. after she left or stopped talking which lasted for like 8 hours. We had a lot of fun! Anyways.. Here are some pics It was a lot of fun!

Our butterfly adventure is over!!!! THAT WAS SOOOOOOOOOO GROSS!!!!! And of course I won't say NEVER again.. but it came pretty close.. It was gross! But the kids did think it was VERY cool for some reason.. BUT then again.. I also think child birth is gross and I have 4 kids... so who know! :) anyways.. here are some pics of us setting them "free" We had a total of 7 butterflies and 6 made it to freedom!

NO SCHOOL TODAY!

I was actually really looking forward to having No school today and spending some time with the kiddies.. had nothing big on the agenda just ANOTHER Doctor's appointment in the afternoon! :) So I would do what any good mother would do... PUT THEM TO WORK.. The day prior I had totally emptied out my room to clean the carpets and baseboards stuff like that.. So TODAY was their turn! So I put my room back together and emptied their room. They all had a job and did great! Then headed to Costco to pick up a few things and of course have lunch! Then off to the Doctor and back home. It was so nice that it was nice out! So they played outside for a bit when we got home. Jon got home around 6ish.. and I surprised him and had a sitter here at 7pm.. and we went to the movies.. We went and saw "Date Night" with Tina Fey and Steve Carrell.. and one of the last lines in the movie was..."I would do it all over again" and I would in A FREAKIN HEARTBEAT! It was a really good day. And I am SO very thankful for Jon and my kiddies!!! So here once again are some more pics of our NO SCHOOL FRIDAY! :) LOVED IT!

COCONUTS!!!

So Abbie and I were at the store the other day and she picked up a Coconut and asked what it was.. I told her and she shook it and said there is something in it.. I said Ya.. it's coconut milk! :) So she asked if we could get one and I said sure.. So it was quite the excitement this morning... I had Abbie call my Dad to see how to open it cause it has been a couple of years! Anyways.. here are some pics of the kids working on opening the holes... And I must say they are not fans of coconut! NONE of them! :)

Butterflies

Just to preface this I am catching up on blogging.. so it will be a blog marathon.!!!!

OK.. First Blog.. BUTTERFLIES...
So we bought Abbie this butterfly thing for Christmas, it is one of those things.. they send you caterpillars and then you get beautiful butterflies! It came in the mail like 4 weeks ago. And we now have 7 butterflies.. well actually 6 butterflies and one dead one that didn't make it out of the cocoon. But the kids still think it is going to make it..

Ok..the kids think this is really cool! I THINK IT IS GROSS! There is like blood all on the side of the netting and stuff? Is that normal? The cocoons look like poop! Anyways.. it is going to be sunny tomorrow.. so maybe we will be able to "release" them in their "natural" habitat!!! Anyways.. here are some pics of this disgusting adventure!!!

Babies,Birthdays and PUKE

Well today was LONG... L-O-N-G!!!! I am so tired!! Today Caid had an Urology appointment in Portland.. So we left here at 9am to drop Abbie off at school at 9:10am.. which every day we JUST MAKE IT IN TIME.... got to my mom's at 11am dropped off the little two and then headed out to Portland.. Caid and I had a date at our fam's favorite Sushi spot before we headed to the Doctor. Got to the Doctors office FINALLY... (Loved the feeling of being back in a big city.. but frustrating cause I had no idea where I was going) Anyways. we found it.. Talk with the doctor and as Caiden put's it..."The Doctor is going to fix him so his wife can have babies"! YEP.. from the mouth of babes! anyways.. so 2pm rolls around head back to my moms.. get to my moms about 4! pick up the babies... head home get home at 5:45pm. Meet Jon at home with Abbie fed Abbie and Caid and headed out to Kidsmo with the older ones.. Went out to dinner with some friends... picked up Abbie and Caid. Came home and decided the carpets needed to be cleaned. So Jon said he would do it.. Caid helped him.. Abbie and I took on the kitchen and bathrooms... .and WHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW I am tired!

On the way home Zeke also choose to PUKE his guts out.... which reminded me once again how God truely delights in motherhood.. as he gives mom those moments.. when for example I was about ready to puke my guts out from cleaning the chucks... of barf and working through that disgusting smell... and some how as a mom you just forget all the barf and the smell and just comfort your kid.. and make sure he is okay... :)

P.S.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON! I actually forgot it was his birthday today!!! :) We celebrated on Monday so I totally spaced it out! Good wife huh! :P

Easter and Birthday!

Jeez. it has been a while since my last blog.. things are BUSY!!!! Jon is LOVING his new Job.. and we are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THANKFUL for it!!! (most of you have no idea.. but those of you who do... know!) anyways..nothing new really happening just wanted to post some pics...
We were suppose to go to my mom's for easter but my dad got sick.. so we moved the party here! So Josh and Sherilyn and kids came over first.... and then Judy and Brad came over after they left. So it was fun! So here is a pic of my kiddies Sunday morning...




Wednesday is Jon's birthday but we are busy.. so we had to move his bday to today!! LOL!

Anyways... the kids and I prepared a prime rib dinner for him and got a super cute cake. and 3 of them picked out something special for him!
