Well this week has been kinda of a down week. Which was good.. We needed it!
Next week will be FULL of busy busy stuff!!!! Back at it!!! 2 Mother's Teas, Dentist and a Dr. Appt!!!! YAY!!!

It was also a sad week. The city of Eugene lost a Police Office in the Line of duty last friday with a senseless murder. It was very sad. I caught a little of the service on TV. It was held at the Mac Arena here in town where they have the U of O sports. It holds about 11,000 people and it was FULL! The only part I caught on the TV was the Police Honor part. It was VERY Sad. There was one thing that registered with me and for some reason I keep thinking about it, they did a "last call" It went like this.
"Marion 1-18......... Marion 1-18.........Marion 1-18...............All units be advised Marion 1-18 is now secure" Brought me to tears. I have no ties with him or his family. But when something like this happens in a community like is sure brings a community together to support the family of the fallen office.

Today was finally a SUNNY day!!! and tomorrow it is suppose to be 71!!!! CAN I GET A WOO HOO up in here!!! So from about 9:30am - 5pm we were out in the yard.. cleaning up weeds, plants, mowing and we still have TONS more to do tomorrow!!!! YAY for country living!!!!!! But it was so nice to be outside and working in the yard!!! This was my "mothers day weekend" since next weekend they say it is going to rain. We also got our "little greenhouse" ready to germanate our garden seeds! So tomorrow we are going to do some planting!!!! The kids are looking forward to it!!!

EGGstravaganza!!!

Today we Celebrated EASTER!!!! and had our EGGstravaganza!!!! It was A WHOLE LOT OF FUN!!!!!!!!!

We started the morning opening their Easter Baskets from their Grandma and Papa!!!
Then Abbie read us the Easter Story and we talked about the REASON for Easter... and THEN we moved on to the pagan things!!! LOL!!!!

We started with painting their Easter Stain glass project. Then of course we went to Eggs!!!! Coloring our Eggs!!! This was super fun cause this was the FIRST year that EVERYONE can and did participate which I think made it more fun!!! While the eggs were drying we went and made our Blue Rice Krispie Nest. Then when those were done we went outside to play some EGG games... We had a relay, we walked the planked and we did EGG LIMBO!!!! :0) Then we went to finish our eggs. Then played a bit and had a fabulous dinner!!! AND OF COURSE DID THE "HUNT"!!!!!! It was alot of fun!!!!

We are going to church tonight... Because they asked the "regulars" to come Saturday night so it opens space for visitors. I really wish they had Saturday Night services ALL the time!!! So tomorrow.. we will be SLEEPING in!!!! And then headed to the Movies for their "easter basket" Looking forward to it!!! ALSO LOVING that it was 65 degrees today!!! Perfect day for an EASTER EGG HUNT...and tomorrow it is suppose to be back to rain...rain..rain... Booooo boooo booo!!!!!

The days seem long but the years fly by!!!!

You know it is crazy...How the moment of them being babies FLY BY and they are starting Kindergarden....THEN....1st grade...then 2nd..... and then they are graduating High School!!!
This week for some reason in ALL the craziness I had a little "moment" as I was getting Abbie all "dressed" up for "What I want to be when I grow up night" at AWANA. Of course She dresses herself up as a "ROCKSTAR" cause SHE TOTALLY IS!!!! HAHAHA!!! So she wore my big earrings that made her look like she was 18! She had make-up on (which of course she isn't allowed to wear for like 25 more years) had her little knee high black books on with her "skinny" jeans and she was ROCKIN it!!! I looked at her and I thought OMG!!!!!!!!!! Is this really happening???? Is she actually growing up!!!! I totally had a MOMENT!!!!

Not that I would ever let her go out looking the way she did on a day to day basis at 8!!! But knowing that she is going that way made me take a moment!!!

My friend at church told me a couple weeks ago... "The days seem long but the years fly by" for some reason this has been at the top of my mind!!!I have been going back thinking about that when I am having my "long" days!!! It is so true... I am working on savoring those memories EVEN THOUGH..... (well you can fill in the blank!!)

MY Weekend DIY Project.

So my Aunt Sue came for a visit about a year ago and bought us this table!!!

Sorry about the bad picture but it is the only one I had. Anyways. It is a great table..but we have kinda decided to mix it up a little bit in the kids room.
So here is here is OUR NEW TABLE!!!

So I recovered the table and chairs and we painted a chair we had with our "theme" colors and made a bench and painted it to go with the table.

So this is what I did this weekend. And for ME... to be all crafty is a BIG deal!!! YAY!! ME!!!

Anyways..
So this Thursday was Caiden's Teacher Birthday. She has had quite the journey this year. She has been battling Hodgkin's lymphoma she was diagnosed in October a MONTH after a brand new school year started. You know she ROCKS!!! She is THE MOST positive best outlooking person I have EVER met!!! She has missed 2 days of school this WHOLE year!!! and they were just because she had Dr. Appointments. She has brought all the kids along with her on this journey and have talked to all them about what is happening. Which in my opinion has been great. She answers ALL and EVERY question they have. She had SUPER LONG hair... like past her butt when we started school. And she now wears a hat because she has lost all of her hair and has no eyebrows or eyelashes. She is a rock star and everyday when I walk in there with ALL MY BLUNDER....and there she is with her SMILEY FACE... JUST THANKING GOD for a new great day!!!! It stops me in my tracks to be thankful!!! And I truly am very very Thankful for her!! ANYWAYS.
It was her birthday this week So we made her a Bday Cake. We made a dessert called Banana Bars. And Caid and I went around the house and collected some flowers and put a bouquet together. It was very simple and not over the top.

So we were very excited about it!!! She LOVED it... Caid came in holding her flowers and singing Happy Birthday to her. And she started crying.. and OF COURSE... I DID TOO!!! IT was great!!!

Oh.. today was a DAY!!!!
I did my normal check up on FB.. and come to find out like 200 of my friends were deleted!! TOTALLY Weird.. So I either pissed a lot of people all at once..or something HAPPEN TO MY friends list!!! LIKE IT WAS DELETED!!!! I haven't gone through to see who is missing yet... but maybe it was a SIGN!!!! LOL!!!!
ANYWAYS!!!

I called my mom today in a middle of a MAJOR BREAKDOWN!!!! I mean I was sobbing!!!!! I was at a TOTAL LOSS with my SWEET PRECIOUS #4!!!! The Terrible Two's and I have been living together for 3 years straight.. And I told my mom... "Caid and Zeke were NOT this bad....." and she said... "OH YES THEY WERE!!! You just don't remember" I don't know..... I think I would remember that it was this bad!!! Anyways. SERIOUSLY!!! I LOST IT... I was soooo frustrated!!!! I had no idea what to do.. I was all out of options!!! THAT KID JUST DOESN'T LISTEN!!!! So my mom said. If we called your Grandma she would say the same thing about my Uncle Mike when he was little...and she would say if I had to go in there one more time I don't know what I would have done to that child.. AND MIKE SHOULD THANK GOD EVERYDAY THAT I NEVER HAD TO GO BACK IN.... LOL!!!

So we made it through the day!!! and Lola should be THANKING GOD that I didn't have to go back in her room!!!!

Jon's BIRTHDAY BASH!!!

TODAY WAS FABULOUS!!!! IT WAS A GREAT DAY!!!! My parents came over early this morning so I could go work in Abbie's classroom this morning.. which is a rarity.. it NEVER has happened this year but the teacher was really looking for help to help students in work stations prep for the State Testings. So I was really excited to be able to do that. So I finished that at 9:45am. And I had until 11:45 until I had to pick up the boys from school... 2 HOURS BY MYSELF!!!! YAY!!!!! So I called Jon to see if he wanted to meet for Lunch and he could!!! SO we had a little birthday lunch date ALL BY OURSELVES!!!! and we didn't even have to pay a sitter!!!!! It was fun!!! Then I picked up the boys, went back to the house dropped off Zeke and Caid to have lunch. Then my Dad, Caid and I left to go to his speech. It was good hanging with my Dad. It also brought back a memory about 2 years ago to the exact date that My dad came with me to get Caid tested for speech and it was pretty sweet to have him there today listening to him and I really realized how far Caid has come in his speech and how well he is doing. Which really gave me an "feel good" moment. Which was much needed this week.

My Parents stayed for dinner and cake and we had a great visit. For me it was a really fun day and it wasn't even my Birthday!!!! :0) Jon has tomorrow off so I am totally looking forward to our 3 day weekend!!!

Caid came up with this idea for his birthday present.... "Mom since dad is going to be 29 lets get him 29 boxes of Zours (Jon's favorite candy) and He wants Costco socks"

So I said. that is a very thoughtful idea.... WE SEARCHED FOR 4 DAYS TO GET 29 BOXES OF ZOURS... let me tell you!!!!!! We only came up with 14!!!!!! But it was the thought that counted!!! And he was good with the 14 boxes!!! :0)

Drive In Movie Time!!!!

So man... what a week!!! But I am SOOOO glad it is Wednesday!!!!!
So here is a look at my day!!!!!

She decided to Not take a nap today and play evil canivel and this is what happend!!!!

Tonight at AWANA was "Drive In Movie Night" for Caiden. So this was a project and he and I worked on for days!!!! I kept telling him. Dad is the artist...and I am talented in other areas.. but he insisted that he wanted to make the car with me. So here it is!!!!!!! :0)

In my opinion.....You should have an opinion

So our drives to schools are sometimes interesting... since we spend most of the week in the car driving BACK AND FORTH AND BACK AND FORTH!!!! We have some radio time and sometimes I let them talk!!! LOL!!! Well today we were listening to the radio on the way to take Abbie to school. And the D.J. said " Oregon has 36 inmates on death row and they are working on making the laws for execution harder so it will take longer for an inmate to get his death order, the last execution was in 1997.. and NOW they are going to make it harder?" So Abbie asked what does that mean. So I explained "death row" and "execution" and she said.... "WOW That is just wrong. They should not die." Then she said "What do you think mom, do you think they should die" And I said "ABSOLUTELY" I said like if someone murdered Dad would you be okay if they just were in jail for 25 years or whatever and then got out when Dad is still dead. And she said, "Yes I would totally be sad but I don't think they should die" So we went on this banter and giving my side and then she kinda started to cave on my points. And I said. "Abbie don't just take my side cause it's my side. Things like this is something that you decide as a person. There are alot of people who think the way you do and there are alot of people who think the way I do.. and there are people who just don't think anything :0) then she let out a little giggle.. :0) So then I continued... "If you think this is wrong and you think they should just sit in prison for the rest of their lives and not get executed then that is your opinion.. Just because I don't have the same opinion as you doesn't mean your are wrong or I am wrong or we can't be friends. I have a lot of friends that I have differing opinions on what is "right and wrong" BUT that doesn't mean we just write some one off because of that. But if you stand for something then you need to stand for it.

So it was kinda interesting...You know my "liberal daughter" who by the way is a Obama supporter and thinks the sun rays are damaging our earth or some crap like that!!! But whatever!!! She is 8... and let's just say I am thankful she can't vote yet.... :0) I am thankful that although she is 8....she is still searching out some of these thoughts at a young age. Although we can banter back and forth about different points I really do think it is SOOOOO important for her to work these thoughts for herself and discover the consequence of actions and not do it because "that what think" but I want her to think for herself!!! EVEN at 8!!

This will probably bite us in the butt in a couple years!!! It would be easier to make her a clone of me....cause well..... I am just PERFECT!!!! ;0)
