TRICK OR TREAT!!!

Well after a semi/totally-annoying day!!! Here are my cutie kiddies dressed up.

BUDGETS SUCK!

Pkay so after reading this one article on line how this lady got out of $70,000 of debt in TWO YEARS and then had an extra $23,000 in her emergency fund. How the heck do they do that!!! I mean really what is their income? do they have any kids? Having a budget has been SUPER SUPER SUPER hard for me.. trying to figure this out and not spend where we don't need or don't have!!! I have been trying to save for my yearly trip to the Outlets for MIDNIGHT MADNESS sale!!! (WHICH IS THE MOST FUN EVER) and have always had about $150 in it.. but NO MORE... something ALWAYS seems to come up! It is so freakin frustrating! Do these people have kids??? One of the lady is like I went on a spending fast for 1 year! and I saved $5,000 Ok.. really my husband I think would divorce me from going INSANE if I went on a spending fast! Let me tell you I am a SUPER good shopper... and I shop the deals!!! and I would like to be ever so humble and say... IF IT IS NOT A DEAL.. I DON'T GET IT.. but just not ANY deal!! it has be to be a REAL DEAL! I know the difference... So I don't know.. we try to cut back.. we hardly eat out.. which we use to at least 3 times a week....anyways.. it's expensive with 4 kids any way you look at it... So here is to ME.. on keepin up on the budget!!!!

Favorite Bible Hero Night

So it was Favorite Bible Hero Night at "Kid Life" tonight.. So I had to get a little creative with the dress up!! So I cut a pillow case up for Zeke and Lola's outfits and they became little shepards :) I was queen ester and I didn't get a pick of me.. but let me just say I made a AWESOME outfit out of my un-used curtains!!! Caiden was Samson with his strong man suit and MULLET!!! :) (had to get the mullet in there somewhere) and let me add!!! HE WAS TOTALLY ROCKIN IT TOO!!! :) Abbie was Joshua!!!! She rocked her outfit too!! It was fun!!

my last one!

okay... so tonight.. I was thinking as I was changing sheets on everyone's beds. Zeke was Lola's age last year and it was just about this time when I had moved him from crib to a "big bed" so... maybe I should give it a try... so she came out twice.. waved and went back into her bed. and changed the sound machine sound... So that was pretty easy. Then she was OUT! and I was SHOCKED!!! I am not taking the crib down tomorrow... but we might be onto something here!!! Bitter sweet though.. this is my last baby!!!

next to go is binky and potty training... EEKKKKK... She will be 2 in December.. which usually means no more binky..ALTHOUGH we let zeke go a little longer... ;/

October Days

Well if today isn't just the most perfect fall day.. Not sure what would be!!! Today it is pouring rain with major wind!!! seriously our house OUTSIDE looks like a tornado hit it!!! leafs piled high.. branches and pine branches everywhere!!! crazy!! Last night we had MAJOR thunder and a couple of good lightning sightings.. one of the thunders actually shook our house and like a quick 4.0'er just a little jult... and then it rumbled on for about 2 minutes.. it actually was pretty freaky!! BUT totally enjoyed it! We have about 5 skylights in our house and the rain just pounds it!!! Makes it so loud!!! Both Jon and I woke up from it raining so hard last night!

So we carved pumpkins last night. And I thought it was fun. Jon does all the carving cause he is cool like that. So Lola did ELMO! (OF COURSE UGGG) Zeke did Darth Vader Caid did a race car and Abbie did a Ninja Princess!!! I haven't taken pics of all the finished products yet.. but will get that up soon.

We also had some friends over this weekend!!! We had a blast having them over and had a SUPER BLAST making the fabulous mini-dipped apples! That was fun! I also asked while she was here if she would be willing to try to snap some pics of our fam for our Christmas pic, this is always a MAJOR event. Trying to get all 6 of us smiling.. or I am even settling for looking at the camera is crazy!! But thankfully she caught that 1 in 50 shot!!! So that you will have to wait to see till Christmas!!! :) ( I know the suspense kills you all) Well I put up a couple of random pics.. from pumpkin carving and also when my friend Cherie was here snapped some of Jon and I (which might I add is harder to get Jon to look and act serious at the camera than lola) And we got our 1 in 50 shot of us too!!! :)

Keep it real!

Another week of chaos!!!

I NEED A FREAKIN VACATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! And I am NOT kidding!!! man.. life has been nuts!! and as I mentioned in my blog the other day sometimes LIFE is just overwhelming. I mean I am tired!!! One thing that I totally miss having moving to Eugene is DATE NIGHT!!! I haven't been out with a babysitter out here. But when it all pans out anyways...paying $10 bucks an hr to have a sitter just doesn't seem worth it! BUT Jon and I have both been super busy.. so it would be nice to have a break! But this too shall pass!!! So it's OCTOBER 22nd!!! October FLEW by!!! I am happy to say I am about 85% DONE with my Christmas shopping!!! :) YAY ME!!!!!!!!!!! I have a couple more left but for the most part all done!

We are off to see Toy Story 3 in 3d tonight. It FINALLY came to the cheap theatre so for the price of ONE 3 ticket we ALL get in!!! GOTTA LOVE THE CHEAP THEATRE!

Friends and things

You know.. as I run into old friends here and there.. make new friends along the way.. I am thankful for ALL my friends. They are all sooo different not one alike... and it is cool how you get different perspectives on life from each one, which I appreciate. Some have STRONG STRONG opinions which I actually really like hearing from cause there is no gray in their answer. It just is what it is! And I like the straight talk from it. Some of my friends... "PUT THE PIECES together" which I find soooo facinating. They see the deeper with in.. the part that I just normally glaze over cause I am in my own little air headed world!! So it is refreshing and inspiring!!! And then there are my frugal friends.. who I stand in awe and only which to achieve their level of FRUGALITY!!!! :)!!! AND LASTLY there are my BFF's my (BAD FRIENDS FOREVER) which I am a part of! I am like the worse friend to keep in contact. And am in my own little world like ALL the time!! So these peeps are right there with me in their own little worlds!!! and sometimes our worlds collide and when they do.. it is a BLAST!!! Anyways! just a thought I was having the other night while I was talking to Jon about different perspectives of friends.

In other news... I went to a Mom's group thing today. It was OK. I was thinking though.. I wonder if there is a Mom's group that doesn't talk about their husband or kids! Like I get it.. that is what everyone has in common or whatever... but it would be nice to just not talk about it ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the time! So it was ok.. and I got invited to attend another one tomorrow by this gal in the group. So we shall see! :)

I was also talking to Jon about getting a new hobby.. cause my hobby for the past years!!! has been SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes it totally is a hobby! But as we are working to cushion our savings account I really am going to need to get a new hobby! So everyone ready!!!! I had talked about it when I was in Atown and now that I am getting settled here I think I am ready to make the jump!!! "ROLLER DERBY" Here I come!!!!
So I just have to wait for the open training/try out which is at the start of the new year. So I am actually looking forward to that! :) Alright peeps.

What isn't going on...

jeez is life just flying by or what!!!! I mean it's crazy!!! going from point a to b to b to c to c to d and then back to a all over again!!! Its been nuts and days have been flying by like in super speed!!!!

So much has been going on... so lets just go down the list.. shall we...

Lola: well lets just say.. SHE IS STILL LOLA!!! :)

Zeke: Zeke is getting stoked about his bday coming up.. finally turning the big 03!! We are not having a big party this year. He decided to invite one of his friends to come out for a pizza party and play date. So he is still deciding what kinda party he is going to have but since I already bought the mickey mouse decor... I am going to work on my swaying skills... to get a mickey mouse party!!! :)

Caid: Caid started school in September he is going 4 days a week and LOVING it!!!! :) He is having a blast and is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to be in school and can't hardly wait for kindergarden next year! He also has speech on day 5 of the week.. So we have something for him every morning of the week! His speech has come a long way but we still have a long way to go. I went in for the 6 month assessment today and it was a little discouraging. But also I have to remember where he was when we started and we have made strides!!! Just takes time I guess. So we will be hitting the speech pretty hardcore for the next couple of months before school starts!! He also started AWANA and is love loving that! He is a Cubbie. He has done a FANTASTIC job in memorizing verses.

Abbie: Abbie is doing a fabulous job this year in school. I am so proud of her and her hard work she is putting in. We have a heck of a teacher this year. And I am so thrilled to have her. Abbie has about an hour of homework a night which is alot but also I think it is good. This teacher is very VERY structured but with just enough fun! I am loving it! She as well is doing AWANA this year and is loving it as well. She has the best leader ever!!!! :)

ME: Well you know I have come to this realization.. (WAIT FOR IT....) 4 KIDS IS ALOT OF KIDS!!!) As they get bigger... the crazier it gets!!!! So I am taking one day at a time.. but seriously some days it just seems overwhelming. But all in all. things are going great here. It is nice to be out of A-TOWN.. and I love it more and more here in Eugene everyday!! But I do miss some of my peeps! :)

Jon: He is still working like mad! But he is loving the job. He went out on a business trip last week for the week. He goes on one about once a month. He is doing awesome. And I am so proud of him!!! He has actually been quite the socialite here in Eugene! :)

Well that is us in a nutshell. It seems like forever since I blogged.. We go to the Pumpkin Patch tomorrow.. totally excited about it.. Abbie doesn't have school tomorrow cause we have teacher student conferences. So I am actually really looking forward to us 5 going on the pumpkin patch field trip with Caids class. When Abbie gets a day off of school we all get a day off!!! it is nice!!!

9 YEARS BABY!!!

Well we made it to the big OLD 09! HAHAHA!!! Well what can I say about this past year of marriage!!! IT TOTALLY ROCKED!!!! Here are my top 8 reasons why our 8th year was the best 8th year of marriage I have ever had!!!!

Our 8th year of marriage was a success because... I am still married to my BEST FRIEND

4. Our 8th year of marriage was a success because... he can still put me to sleep with his soothing voice reading some boring theological blah blah book

2. Our 8th year of marriage was a success because... I DON'T HAVE A NEWBORN INFANT!!!

The NUMBER ONE reason eight years of marriage was a success.... Through the ups and downs of this year... we are closer and stronger than EVER!!!!!

The Priceless Gifts

I think when you get older.. the best gifts are given to you through your kids gifts! Today Caid got a package in the mail and it had some special coins and some $2 bills in it.. (For those of you who don't know.. CAID IS OBSESSED WITH MONEY) He like price check every store we go to. He always makes sure he has atleast $2 saved that he doesn't spend. Which is also why the $2 bills were extra special touch. He wants to learn how to write for the sole purpose of be able to write a check! (I mean the kid has issues!!!) anyways.. the memory of receiving this in the mail was priceless...Anyways. it was just one of those days.. when you think.. This is what is so freakin rad about being a parent!!! And it was a blessing to me!!! :)
