Terrific Tuesday!!!

So today... we went for a "HIKE" it was 4 miles....

It took a 32,9,5,3 and 2 year old 5 HOURS to make this hike!!!! Seriously I was super surprised.... that everyone did great.. and NO ONE COMPLAINED.. Lola was distracted with eating blackberries ALLLLLL the way up and ALLLL the way back!!!!! so when she started to slow I would say... HEY.. A BLACKBERRY BUSH and they would go running.. take a break and stuff their face and ON to the NEXT!!!! IT was a really fun day.. We left at 11am and then got home about 4:30. I had a dinner date with one of my LONGEST CLOSEST FRIENDS ever!!!! and it was nice to sit down and chat with her for a bit. This is the sad thing.. SHE LIVES IN SALEM.. like an hour away from my house and I had not seen her since Caid was like 6 months!!!! PATHETIC... BUT... we went right back to the 5 years ago when we saw each other last!!! I LOVE FRIENDS LIKE THAT!!!!

Last week of summer......

Ohhhh here we are again!!!! WOW!!!! The last week of summer... So this week we are going to start up our BACK TO SCHOOL ROUTINE... so that means... not more.. "OH it's 6:45pm... I guess I should make dinner..." days are over. It was a great time this summer.. Lots of new adventures... fun memories... and great ideas...that maybe next year I won't do!!!!! HAHAHA!!!

Last week was a MISERABLE week!!!! Jon had pretty much been gone the week before... and last week he was working 6am - at least 8!!!! SINGLE PARENT LIFE WITH 4!!! NO THANK-YOU!!! BUT I will also say in that same breathe!!! I AM THANKFUL FOR A GREAT JOB FOR JON!!!!!!

Anyways... Have a nice week planned... Jon's grandparents come for their annual visit this weekend and then my parents come in the same day Jon's grandparents leave.. And they will stay with us... and help send off the kids for their first day.. and Caid's FIRST DAY... EEEEEKKKKKK.... Seriously I am going to be a MESS!!!!!

Ok.. So I was talking to Jon about all the out doorsie stuff we have been doing.. and have AVAILABLE to us in like 20 minutes or less!!!! And I said.. you know how I always had said...As soon as we get a transfer.. SAN DIEGO here we come!!!! But these days.. especially after this summer... I told Jon. I think this COUNTRY BUMKIN life is creeping up on me.. I REALLY LIKE IT!!!!! I love driving down the road and having the kids be able to jump into the river.. swim out to the dock and swim back....and just play!!!! So we shall see....

Summer is ALMOST OVER!!!

Seriously it seems like we just started Summer... But on that same note you can tell the kids are ready for school to be back!!!! So EVERYONE will be attending school this year!!! NOT REAL school but I have 2 and 2!!!! CRAZINESS!! Caid will be going to FULL DAY Kindergarten. And I was actually just as excited as he was when he found out but the closer we get the more sad I get... Here we go..with the tears!!! It is really pathetic. He is really excited and I am too..just another milestone we are passing through.. or should I say starting. Some of my friends kids have started school already and I get weepy just looking at their kids pics going back to school!!! It's nuts!!!! I will still blame pregnancy hormones for the REST OF LIFE!!! THEY LINGERED!!!! Zeke will be going to 3 days a week and Lola will start 2 days! :0) School Supplies,Clothes,Shoes and Backpacks are all ready to go!!!

Our last couple of weeks of Summer are pretty mellow. We are pretty much all done with our "exciting adventures." It was a whirl wind summer though. And I think it is good (although I hope we dont go too stir crazy for whats left) to be winding down. Very thankful for the Season in MANY ways!

I am excited to have a couple of GIRLS NIGHT OUTS coming up!!!! I have one in A-TOWN with a VERY old friend of mine.. She lives in Salem so we are going to meet for dinner halfway. She was in my wedding like 10 years ago and the last time I saw her Caid was maybe a couple months.. I know it is pretty pathetic that she lives like an hour away and I haven't seen her in like 5 years!!! But so goes.. me being a bad friend!!! HAHAHA!!! BUT I am SUPER SUPER excited to have a night out and just have dinner with her next week!!!! YAY!!!

Harvesting

Ok.. well now that I know I am not blogging for JUST myself... I will bless you with more of my FABULOUS BLOGGING!!!!! LOL!!!

So yesterday I got a call from a friend at our church asking if my kids and I would be interested in going over to Camp Harlow, harvesting some of the food in the garden and take it over to the Mission. AND I WAS STOKED!!! #1 That someone was brave enough to ask someone with 4 KIDS if we could help with the harvesting.... They are pretty brave!!! #2 As we have been working with the Eugene Mission it was a great service project for the kids.

So her are some pics of our morning. We harvested and delivered 36 POUNDS of Veggies to the Mission this morning. It was a great time!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH NANCY SMITH!!!

SUMMER FUN!!!! OH YA!!!

So this weekend went WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to fast!!!!! It was super fun!!! My dad and I headed out for a campout with my kids and my neice and nephew for a couple of days. And really it was alot of FUN! It was camping with SIX kids. .But it really was nice and relaxing. We took the canoe out with all these little indians in it. I had GREAT PICS of that.. and LOST MY CAMERA!!! I hope it is in my Dads truck but we shall see.. It was just nice to just be out and camping with the fam. My kids really enjoy it.

NOW.. on to the NEWS that really matters.... MY VACATION WEEK!!!!!!! OH YES!!!!!!
ALL 4 KIDS are in VBS this week from 9am to noon for 5 days!!!!!! What am I going to do you ask... OH I AM GOING TO DO SOMETHING!!!!! Nothing that may seem to exciting to you peeps.. BUT IT IS TO ME.. I will be FISHING.... I will be having COFFEE DATES... I will be having SHOPPING DATES... I will be on a DATE BY MYSELF!!! I am VERY VERY VERY excited to get this little time.... to do what I WANT TO DO!!! YAY!!!! So anyways. Peeps.. sorry I have not pics but I will post some if I EVER find my camera!!!!

As we were out school shopping Caiden found a 4 piece suit full with suit jacket and he wanted it for his first day of school outfit. Now It was a screaming deal.. In July we I was SOOO glad that we got THE WHOLE fam together for a FAM PIC. We haven't had a family pic taken since Caid was about 6 months. And well.. I have had a couple more kids since then. I thought the picture turned out great and it really is amazing that EVERYONE was looking at the camera!!!!!! EVEN MY DAD!!!! :0)

Family Campin

Well my sister in law is like running 7000 miles or something in like 4 days... So I am watching her kids while she does it!!!! :0) So they are coming over on Thursday and staying till Sunday... SO I called my Dad and asked if he would want to go Camping with ME and 6 kids!!!!! My Mom is California to be with my Grandma.. so she get's out of it!!! HAHAHA!!!

SO we are headed out just me and my dad and 6 kids tomorrow for our CAMPING EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!! And I am actually really excited.. I think it will be fun to hang out with my Dad on our little camping trip.
